“Scheduled Volume Checking” works like a professional disk scan tool, helping re-map the bad blocks from the surface of the volumes and take parity checking for RAID 3/5/6. The users are allowed to decide the schedules on when to have the system auto-launch Scheduled Volume Checking.
Spin Down is mainly designed to save the power consumption taken by the idle hard drives. Some studies have shown, the hard drives used on the disk array supporting Spin Down are more likely to work longer and more stable, let alone the amount of saved power consumption in long period of system running.

AL-7161F utilizes two 4Gb FC-AL as host interface to connect SAN environments; the through-put can very fast. And new generation of SATA is utilized in our design as the disk interface.
